The head of a leading Israeli organization in the field of Jewish pluralism visited the Mayerson JCC on Friday, October 23. BINA CEO, Eran Baruch, joined Jewish communal professionals for a “lunch and learn” discussion about the work BINA does to strengthen Israel’s democratic and pluralistic character, by emphasizing Judaism as a culture. The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati supports BINA and its efforts to increase Jewish pluralism in Israel through an allocation of $16,000. This year, that funding helped open their third “secular yeshiva” in Be’er Sheva.
