JCRC of Cincinnati Mourns Loss of Innocent Lives at Florida High School
The JCRC of Cincinnati is deeply saddened and disturbed that yet another mass shooting has claimed the innocent lives of children and teachers at their school in Parkland, Florida. This time, the horrific tragedy has touched our Cincinnati community. Among the victims is 14-year-old Jaime Guttenberg, the niece of JCRC Past President and Executive Committee member, John Youkilis and his wife Abbie, and the granddaughter of Ethel and Marvin Guttenberg, involved members of our Cincinnati Jewish community.
We pray for comfort, healing and strength, and our thoughts are with John, Abbie and their family as they cope with the unthinkable. We mourn alongside the families of the victims, the students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and the Jewish community of Broward County.
This morning, the Cincinnati Enquirer published this article remembering Jaime and the other victims.
May their memories be for a blessing.
