Israeli Chronicles — Connecting Israel & Cincinnati
April Netanya Update
The Hefziba neighborhood in the Israeli city of Netanya is home to an Ethiopian immigrant community. For many of these children, an educational, behavioral, and cultural chasm exists that requires constant bridging. That’s where The Netanya Foundation‘s PELE Program comes in. The program helps close learning gaps for students in preparation for the difficult transition to junior high school. But most importantly, it bolsters these children’s self-confidence and self-esteem.
