Israeli Chronicles — Connecting Israel & Cincinnati
Cincinnati Congregational Rabbis to Explore Modern-day Zionism
As 508 Cincinnatians prepare to embark on the 2016 Congregation and Community Israel Mission, the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati’s Israel Center is convening a special panel of five Cincinnati congregational rabbis from Humanistic, Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox movements to explore the modern-day meaning of Zionism across all levels of Jewish practice. The panel, entitled “What Zionism Means to Me,” is a unique opportunity to celebrate Jewish pluralism in Cincinnati, and will feature Rabbis Robert Barr, Ezra Goldschmiedt, Lewis Kamrass, Miriam Terlinchamp, and Irvin Wise as they discuss the relationship between American Jews and Israel. Facilitated by Maia Morag, Cincinnati’s community emissary from Israel, the panel will run from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, at the Mayerson JCC. Visit jewishcincinnati.org/israelity to RSVP.
This presentation is part of the 2016 Israelity speaker series, “All Sorts of Israel.” This year’s featured speakers will bring different Israeli perspectives to Cincinnati. The series is brought to you by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati in collaboration with the Jewish Community Relations Council and the Mayerson JCC.
