How You Help: “When You Came It Was Just Like a Lifesaver”: Jewish Family Service Becomes Safety Net for Grandmother

Dear friend,
I wanted to share with you Gloria’s story, so full of desperate downs and heroic ups. This grandmother survived a lifetime of addiction to pain medication as a result of Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetes.

And remember, you as a Federation donor helped make Gloria’s road back possible. And thank you Gloria for being so brave and sharing this story with us.

Here’s the full article.

Warmly,
Tamara

Remembering it all during the interview, Gloria said to Maia, “I’d be depressed, or sick, a lot of the time; and when you came it was just like a lifesaver.”
