To Israel and Back: A Journey Home

Hagit Limor is a longtime Cincinnati television reporter and associate professor of electronic media at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. She was one of 508 Cincinnatians who traveled together on the 2016 Cincinnati Congregation and Community Israel Mission, which included participants from nine different Cincinnati congregations. It was the largest Israel mission in Cincinnati’s history.
When The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati and the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati sponsored and organized a trip to Israel this summer, I jumped at the opportunity to return to the country where I was born.
I wanted to show my son the home where I grew up. I wanted him to see the beauty of this country that marries the ancient with the modern, the ocean with the desert, the carefree attitude despite necessary security. More >
