JCRC condemns hateful graffiti at Withrow High School
There is no place in our community for this kind of hate and it must not be tolerated. Unfortunately this demonstrates the adage that when one community is threatened, we all are. We appreciate Mayor Cranley’s quick reaction and call on community leaders to speak against this hate.
Additionally, we are grateful to the Cincinnati Police Department for their swift response to this incident and we appreciate their thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators of this and other recent hateful acts to justice. While there is no indication that the recent swastika at Hebrew Union College is connected to this incident, we are deeply disturbed that there has been an uptick in hate in our community.
This act intends to shake our faith in our community’s commitment to ensuring all our safe and welcome. It must not. We must continue to embrace and celebrate our diversity.
