Jewish Federation of Cincinnati holds 121st annual meeting: American Israelite
Jewish Federation of Cincinnati President Tedd Friedman started off the group’s 121st annual meeting May 17 describing the day last June when a camper died at Camp Livingston.
Jewish agencies, rabbis, synagogues, and individuals rushed to support each other. “The Jewish community was facing a tragedy together,” he said. “Years of trust and organization paid off. “I saw the best of Jewish Cincinnati.”
He looked around the room and said he saw the best of Jewish Cincinnati in the crowd of people at the Mayerson JCC. “Together we plan for our community,” he told the crowd. “Together we do the hard work to make Jewish Cincinnati better. “This is our time. Our moment Our place.”
That started a meeting that lasted more than an hour, discussing the Federation and some of the programs it sponsors.
